More than 66,400 people in Los Angeles Country experience homelessness and live on the streets, in their vehicles, or in homeless shelters. With the county’s high housing costs, an increasing number of individuals are left without homes.
We have partnered with Silverstone Property Management Co. to foster the development, management, preservation, and financing of affordable housing. In addition to renovating existing housing, we are developing new properties for low-income families.
Those who are not as privileged as us need our help.
In 2019, more than 35 million individuals in the U.S. experienced hunger. The COVID-19 pandemic has made this significantly worse, with more than 42 million people experiencing food insecurity.
We want to reduce this number and make sure that no man, woman, or child in our community goes to bed hungry. The Good Neighbors Foundation holds food drives and food pantries to help reduce food insecurity in our community.
568,000 people in the United States are homeless. As of 2021, 66,436 of these individuals are in Los Angeles County alone. Our community is facing hard times and it is up to us to help the homeless population in Alhambra flourish and meet their potential.
The Good Neighbors Foundation aims to not only help these individuals find housing, but also assist with job searches, securing food, and more.
Our different community service projects include book drives, holiday meals, book exchanges, and more. With these, our aim is to involve our local community in meaningful events that have a positive outcome and make an impact.
